Me and My Jan-Jan

I am relaxin' in the park with my Jan-Jan. She came to my house to see me. While she was at it she saw my Mom and Dad too. But I know I am the one she really came for.

11 Months! Almost to the big 0-1!

Honestly, are we not past this ritual yet? I mean really. I am almost a year now and have made lots of advancements. This was cute when I was 10 months, but I am like inching toward being on the number chart now so.....work with me.

Talking Chipmunk Alert!

If I wasn't so busy shoving pasta into my mouth I would tell you that I can say these words: hi, dada, mama, bird, doggie, kitty, bottle, baseball, book, jorja, gentle, this, that, and of course my favorite....NO (ha! ha! mama and dada you thought you were only using it on me). It takes a bit of a trained ear to get my meaning all the time, but I am catching on right quick. (Thanks for the idea Bobbie!)

My Favorite Distraction is...

Make-UP! All I need is this good stuff and I am good to go for at least half an hour. You have seen me doing this before, and it just doesn't get old. I'm telling you this stuff is the greatest.

Hey it does get sunny here. Here I am out and about enjoying the weather and fun times with my peeps. They are looking a little pale as the Texas sun has become but a happy memory. Better for the wrinkles my mommy has noticed recently. Oooppssss, guess I better keep my mouth closed. They are laugh lines mommy, laugh lines! (um...er....that's my story and ..well you know the rest)

Summer Time and the Livin's Easy

Oh goodie it's summer time! I love summer. Well, I think I do.... afterall, it is my first one. My favorite things about summer are; wearing fun dresses without tights, teaching my mommy about swimming, morning walks where I don't need a blanket, and peaches. Happy summer to my peeps!

Well peeps, as you can see I have gone and done it. I got too big for my britches, my feet slipped out from under me and my head met the corner of the coffee table. My mommy jumped into action and fixed me right up. It was not much fun, but we handled it.

Things I enjoy about the spring thus far; flying on the swing at the park, eating grass (I got busted for this one), looking at all the flowers, going on evening strolls, and eating dinner while it is still light out.

It sure was a beautiful day in the city and we definitely took advantage of it. In the summer this fountain is full of dogs and (as we have been told by friends) once in a while some people too.

Here I am with my mommy in NYC at what I heard her call "Ground Zero". We are across the street at a very special church called St. Paul's Chapel. She told me that someday when I am big, I am going to know exactly what happened here and how special and wonderful my country is.
